South African cricket team reaches Pakistan



Karachi: The South African cricket team arrived today in Pakistan. The South African cricket team is touring Pakistan after a long time of almost 14 years.

 The South African cricket team, which arrives in Karachi today, will play two Tests and three T20I matches against Pakistan.

The South African cricket team is led by Quentin de Cock. The team that reached Karachi on a tour of Pakistan consist of 21 members.

The South African cricket team, which arrived in Pakistan on a special flight, will undergo corona test at the airport under SOPs after its arrival in Quaid-e-Azam, after which all the players will remain in quarantine.

According to the schedule, after the negative corona test reports, the players of the visiting team will be allowed to train in Karachi Gymkhana.

The players of the South African cricket team will practice at the National Stadium Karachi from January 23 after training at the Karachi Gymkhana by remaining in Covid-19  Bio Secure Bubbles.

According to the schedule, even before the first Test match, the players of both the teams will be tested for Covid-19 once again.

The first Test between Pakistan and South Africa will start on January 26 at the National Stadium in Karachi.

The South African team has been given state guest status. The Prime Minister had approved the African team and officials as state guests. The notification said that the Interior Ministry and the Foreign Ministry should take steps in this regard.

In addition, the Home Ministry has made arrangements for the security of the players for the tour of the South African cricket team to Pakistan. The players will be given foolproof security and 500 Rangers personnel will be deployed. Police, ATC services have been taken from the hotel to the ground. The Interior Ministry has clearly directed that there should be no compromise in the security of the players.
